WALabor, Policy Shape Shifting and Livex Truth

Yes, there's shape shifting for sure & certain on the Livex Trade right now from our Labor Government. The real problem is discerning which is genuine policy shifting and which is pretend change.

We spotted this Facebook post from beleaguered Upper House Labor MP Darren West MLC.

He's been under pressure & receiving flak for a number of controversial social media posts. Comparing rural education stakeholders with the deaths of 400 people in Syria, posting rape humour were just a few huge insensitive & highly unhelpful gaffs at his hands.

He even admitted in Parliament (Its in Hansard) that some of the budget cuts are in fct not about budget repair at all. On any given day he'd be toast politically.

But here's his latest post of untold blunder.

Firstly his opening statement about being "the only working farmer in the WA Parliament".
Curious statement.
He's apparently the follow...
  1. A working farmer
  2. A member of Parliament
  3. Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Regional Development, Agriculture and Food
  4. Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister assisting the Minister for State Development, Jobs & Trade.
Grab that...Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister assisting the Minister for State Development, Jobs & Trade.
I think he should focus on a job and do it full time, not be a part time farmer, part time public servant, part time reviewer of legislation, part time elected representative, part time parliamentary secretary x two, plus I assume he's on a few Upper House committees.
He made the "following observations about recent events" including the massive meeting at Katanning that he did not attend.

Now onto his numbered points.

1) "Labor supports the live trade" - Shape shifting. He's on the record as saying we need to transition to 100% on shore slaughter & processing. That is not supporting Live Export, that's CLOSING IT DOWN. WALabor's Pre Election Policy Platform clearly spelt it out as a "transition" not supporting Live Export most likely to try & gather as many of the then disillusioned Greens voters.
Unsure?

The plan the Industry Stakeholders want is LIVE & CHILLED, we need both in the market place. At present the price determinator is the Live buyers. Their competition is the main price competition, without them the market place price and therefore the farmgate price will plummet.
Going solely CHILLED will lose us markets such as Qatar one of the main Middle East markets. They want Live & Chilled, the latter going into the more higher priced market segments. Barnaby Joyce in his speech at Katanning already outlined that Qatar will not replace their Live Sheep with chilled, they will replace us as suppliers, most likely Somalia &/or Sudan who have no Animal Welfare standards & highly unlikely to ever. As we refuse to supply Qatar with Live Sheep they will most likely see it as an honour insult denying them food security and they will continue to buy Chilled, but not from us.

In effect, we could lose the entire Live & Chilled market in at least 2 of our biggest Middle East markets. Hardly a sensible outcome for Animal Welfare, for producers and all the associated satellite industries & any chance of maintain or increasing rural growth.
Wake up Darren. If WALabor & indeed you are in favour of retaining the trade, you've only just come to this position or you're just pretending. Fact is, 100% chilled is 0% Live.
Sorry, we have good reason to mistrust you & Labor on policy & economic matters.
Secondly on point 1, we all saw the 60 minutes footage, we were all appalled by it. No one I have heard of anywhere has enjoyed or defended it. There is no distinction or difference here except we know that even including the repulsive Awassi disaster the Transit Mortality Rate has STILL been falling for over 7 years. The Awassi event, as shocking & unacceptable as it was still remains a statistical outlier, NOT common industry practice. That is a point that NO LABOR MP has ever spread amongst the public. EVER.
The public have had enough. That's actually everyone, but seems some are not told the actual industry facts that its an outlier.

2) Who the architects are is not the issue, the so far undisputed industry data that WALabor haven't taken on board. Their actions that have not instilled any confidence in any stakeholders. Susan Ley for all her leftist proposed actions also lacks industry facts & data that WALabor some reason also omit. It was all along a federal matter so why the WA Minister was not trying to keep the Livex operating I do not know. I do know, the last 3 LSS ship loads of sheep had a 99.7+% survival rate which is many many times better than the Aust Pet Industry. Yes Margins are going to be tighter, but the Awassi is history and was long lost history when the Emannuel's office were raided by WA Government officials. Not federal, state.
Why does the WA Government, the minister spruik the industry & its improvements?
Why?

3) The Trade in WA was not paused, one exporter had their licence suspended. LSS could still export. There was no "trade pause"...and no one I know was complaining about due process being followed by the regulator. That's far different from "transition to 100% chilled"
This is a distraction deflection. Pointless point.

4) No Alannah did not. She offered a low interest loan of $5Million dollars to WAMMCO. That and either forgetting or deliberately not helping educate metro based people on the real advances in the trade. It's already been announced that the $5Million will help a little but will do nothing to replace the Livex market. It's a joke or a dire concern should anyone pass that off as a pittance to pay for massive industry shortfall. How's that likely to work out? Well don't take my word for it...
https://thewest.com.au/countryman/livestock/lack-of-staff-hurts-export-potential-wammco-ng-b88902805z

5) (a) I'll post the link for Alannah's speech video at Katanning. Watch it, check out the level of disrespectful abuse the minister copped. I think it put it exactly in context. Facts are best when presented in their entirety.

https://www.facebook.com/melinda.r.walsh/videos/1731844160256083/

Yes she was boo-ed by some. It was 8 minutes into the 10 minutes she was allowed to talk for. She unlike Barnaby & others, actually spoke for longer.
Its not about Alannah's feelings at being disrespectful, I've watched question time, there are no brittle petals & vulnerable snow flakes in any seat in parliament. She was fine. Noticeable were the organiser with arm gestures telling people to settle down. They did.
I'm not sure if Darren saw the entirety of the speakers there. I know Darren wasn't there. I was.
He was intellectually corrupt switching it to some sort of identity politics & playing the victim card on the Minister's behalf. Could have mentioned the unacceptable Awassi shipment thankfully being an outlier.

5) (b) The minister did focus on "where to from here" and it was not about saving Livex, it was in her own words "Plan B". She did not outline any plan or desire to focus on the sheep meat export trade being Chilled AND Live. Not once. She copped her worst abuse (as calm as it actually was) was mocking her for suggesting farmers needed to follow the new innovative idea of developing "dual purpose Merinos". The Parliamentary Secretary assisting isn't assisting the minister if she doesn't know the long established bleeding obvious. Perhaps he's not fulfilling his duties properly because he's a working farmer not focusing on the job we pay him to do as a public servant.

5) (c) Re Barnaby Joyce. As support goes, I don't support him or any action that caused him to be consider a disgrace. Its not directly relevant to the Livex Trade.
As for using a person's past behaviour as a way of dismissing the facts the put forward without addressing the facts, that is Identity Politics. Its dangerous and people should call it out as being Intellectually Corrupt.

Darren decidedly failed to address anything Barnaby put forward, either for or against. He played the personality game.
Barnaby pointed out that there are zealots in the game who's aim is not just fixing animal welfare. If they shut the trade it will not stop with sheep, they'll soon go after cattle trade export or not. They'll go after egg & poultry industry, bee keeping, transport of livestock, feedlotting and in fact they aim to shut down all use of animal farming and any animal based products.

If you want to know where these zealots get their philosophic grounding?
Watch this video of Animals Australia co-founder Peter Singer to get a better idea of the snakes hiding in the wood heap.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKDv3uhqqTI&t=3s

The damaging & obvious presence of these cultist zealots was not dismissed by Darren nor mentioned. These zealots will generally be voters that favour the Greens, Animal Justice Party and Labor, so Labor won't mention them. There are animal welfare supporters everywhere, all farmers are but amongst the metro based people are those hiding under an Animal Welfarist cloak who are in fact Animal Liberationists. They due to their cult dogma will assign personhood to animals and believe they have the rights not to be food.
It is of course a complete mess of an idea that implodes with the slightest scrutiny & spot light.
It is cult dogma and its these people who will continually use Awassi footage & references even though the clear majority of livestock in the Live Trade meet the plate with all welfare compliance boxes ticked.

In fact Darren didn't address this question from the floor at all. Why do the media still use the most confronting and horrific footage which represents a tiny outlier of the trade?
If Darren truly supported the trade he would have supported the trade in word & action, instead he's played Identity Politics against a interstate MP from one of the party's he deeply hates. He pulls out the Victim Card on behalf of Alannah that really doesn't exist.

He is anti Live Export.
He has put ideology before better practice in a vital trade that adds to our foreign exchange figures.
A trade that employs many Western Australians & helps hold the farm gate price.

He's gone full socialist economist path. State enters into the fray and abolishes what they dislike despite the improvements, the market place floor price that will plummet. Its about state control irrespective of the likely Animal Welfare standards and the assured financial decline.

If Socialist Understood Economics There'd Be No Socialists.

Debating the Left, Fascism, Distractions & Derailing

Here's classic example of how some leftists will use identity politics to derail a debate or discussion.
Why? Its quicker, faster & easier to upset the apple cart than using facts and actual researched data from history, science...you know accepted evidence.

A twitter poster went a little rabid on the anti side against the Save Moora College campaign.
All behind an anonymous twitter account. Why do it with hidden identity? More later.

Interesting is how very defensive the twit became on Labor's actions to close the college but as soon as the blow torch was applied there, that closed. Then it was just a defence of Labor by attack all those who were pro Save Moora College. This enabled the "moorjacker" to avoid the use of facts that directly apply to the closure of the college & the good reasons to leave it open.

Distraction launched.

The narrative they unfolded had two possible origins. Either it was a less than informed very pro Labor Party supporter or it was a very well informed and very close to, or inside of the Labor Party who need to use distractions to derail.

Yes I probably engaged longer than a should have but if you're to narrow theories on who's hiding their identity and using feelings not facts well you have to entertain them longer than you should.

It didn't take long before Goodwin's Theory was introduced, that is the debate stalls & the inclusion of Nazi Germany is used to bolster a failing argument. Time to go a little further a little deeper and let loose far more rope.

I posted up a video that explains that Fascism is actually from the Left not the Right and posted a video from Dinesh D'Souza ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6bSsaVL6gA )

He clearly sets out the philosophical founder of Fascism, an Italian closely linked in the day with Mussolini. The Socialist Philosopher's name is Giovanni Gentile.

Now the Anon Tweeter could deconstruct the facts that D'Souza put forward. But no. Not once.
Instead the Tweeter researched D'Souza and claimed he was a convicted neo-conservative criminal who was pardoned by "comrade Trump". Think it speaks volume when he used a term from the left to describe Trump because "comrade" is often used as a negative by conservatives. It was very odd.

I made the point I wasn't aware of D'Souza's court history, I will look it up one day as at a guess the fact it was brought up without any links suggests there's more to it but the tweeter needed to stick to derailing.

I made the point that a person's criminal history does not mean everything they say is a lie. That by sticking to the facts and checking for accuracy it remains the case that facts don't care about your feelings, nor your court history.
I pointed out that Mandela himself had a criminal history. I would not dismiss everything he said because of prison term he served. Nor should any one.

This however translated into me thinking Mandela was the same as a convicted neo-conservative criminal wrongly pardoned by Trump. Again, identity politics, create victimhood to use as leverage to fill the void left by no facts.
I notice that on the 23 occasions I asked the Tweeter if they had ever been a defendant in a court case resulted in silence or another completely unrelated distraction. I did this because I thought well if by their standard people who are charged are somehow guilty of moral falsehood then we should start to look at facts about the tweeter.

So is Fascism of the Left? Yes it is.
Churchill was a staunch Nationalist, but he wasn't a Socialist.
Socialists are all about full state control and domination over the every aspect of the citizen's life because in their view only the state knows what's best, the citizens don't. Any citizen expressing a view contrary to the state is often in a Fascist/Socialist state deemed a traitor. Not a good ending.

Nazi Germany were, by way of looking at their very name "National Socialists".
Where some Socialist regimes are full state control in the fight against Class, the Fascists have a distinct National identity as being paramount and to a lesser extent class warfare. Exactly as Hitler's regime was. Near on full adherence to "the Motherland (Nationalist) as well as full control by the state (Socialist) = Nationalist Socialism.

It is of the left. Do extreme right wing elements attach themselves to Fascist ideals? Yes and many times many people therefore think that Fascism is extreme right wing, except right wing is conservative and very much against state control. The so called extreme right wing nutters only co-join with the racist aspects from Fascism.

So this is twisted by the anon tweeter and thrown back into the mix to distract & derail and very carefully bypassing facts.

This is one VERY determined person. One who is either decidedly and to the point of being an extremist, against the Saving of Moora Residential College. Why the hate for the college and why avoid any facts put forward by affected stakeholders?

Think they're not very determined anti Moora College. I think they're utterly devout and fully fanatical leftist true believers. This isn't so much about Moora College, its about a perceived threat to Labor. An attack Labor cannot sustain if facts are maintained nor if the so called equality nature of Labor dogma is used. They contradict their own dogma by closing Moora College. It's a breach of core Labor policy thinking.

That makes it a political threat. So who would be so worried about this genuine silver bullet heading Labor's way. Well no metro based Labor MP.
They just ignore it.
Sue Ellery blocks anyone with Save Moora College hashtags. So has Wyatt, Papalia and others.
Its not on their radar, they mute it from their radar. Its done, move on.

If its an MP its someone trying to prove themselves and its someone rural based, or non metro.
That gives you a fair few to choose from if it is an MP
I think its either an MP or someone very close personally or professionally to a rural Labor MP.
So who is it?

Well...it doesn't matter.
No seriously, it doesn't matter at all if its Labor staffer, Labor MP, or devout branch member somewhere. It matters not at all.

Facts do.

Stick to the facts & you'll notice the tweeter will falter.
They will have to try harder to hide their identity because when the sole focus is facts (not feelings, lies, twisted misleading narratives or identity politics) the tweeter will, no matter how hard they try drop bread crumbs that will lead to their identity.

Facts are their enemy. Stakeholders views are their enemy.
Their best & only hope is distraction and stalling for time.
Bad decisions can be ignored once they're done.

At present Labor is still stalling for time, trying to distract people until the end of the 2018 School Term when it all goes away and the badly affected stakeholders are split up and spread to the 4 winds. Moral blame can go to the previous government and it can be ignored & buried and Sue Ellery still won't need to visit Moora.

WA Nats en mass have visited Moora. Federal National, Senator Bridget McKenzie visited Moora. Liberal leader Mike Nahan visited Moora.

Labor...no they want it to go away. Sue Ellery made a decision without engaging with staekholders and still hasn't gone to Moora. Ben Wyatt and the Premier haven't either.

And they're not real keen on facts either. Its better to stick with emotional distractions or play ientity politics.

The Save Moora College movement is not going away, its growing and it's getting louder. Its growing great support from Perth voters, some of them Labor voters that see an age old Labor value being chucked out to buy votes in Perth. Some may never vote against Labor but its pretty uncomfortable with one Labor voter in the Darling Range by-election saying he'd voted Labor his entire life but he never signed on for this.

So if you engage with anti "Save Moora College" tweeters be very aware. You will be picked apart on any narrative outside of the Moora College to get you distracted (as I was) and kept away from the core central facts (which sadly for them I'm solely sticking to)

If they start lying about your character whilst they hide their identity then it probably is time to block them. To date I've only ever blocked 2 people, one is the Anti Moora person and another was a very abusive anti Live Export vegan.

Stick to the facts. Whether you like it or not, stick to the facts.
Facts don't care about your feelings, they care about the truth.
Stick to the facts central to keeping Moora College open.

Then sit back and watch.

Identity politic, personal attacks, false narratives, unrelated diversions will all increase as will the attempts to illicit a sharp emotional response.

Ignore. Stick to the facts.
The Moora College Movement is not going away.

Nor should it.

The Headbutt Allegation in Parliament

So you would have seen it. The allegation is that former Union staffer & current WALabor Dave Kelly MP (MP, Minister, Party Power Broker) feigned a head butt in State Parliament whilst Leader of WA Nationals Mia Davies was on her feet addressing the Parliament.

The complaint has been lodged with the Speaker of the House Peter Watson which in itself doesn't inspire a great deal of confidence that anyone will get to the bottom of this.

Labor Premier Mark McGowan said he was there, saw nothing, watched the video, saw nothing and therefore believes its a fabrication. Odd. Just because you didn't see doesn't mean it didn't happen. Now we're not just talking about appalling disrespect for the floor of parliament, we're talking about a man trying to intimidate a woman.

This is all kinds of appalling and the Premier's logic free position, dismissing of such foul misogynistic bullying is not a good sign of a fair & properly run government.
The answer to bad behaviour is good behaviour, not circle the wagons, go into siege mode & ridicule the claimant. Its a hell of a bad signal to send out to victims.

Labor's Minister for Women's Interest Simone McGurk has finally came out with a public comment but it wasn't all it could be. She stated that a complaint made by a woman should be heard. Indeed it has despite the prejudice displayed by the Premier that is based solely on protecting political fortunes.
She made no comment on the process, no comment at all except to say she's known Dave Kelly for decades and she thinks he wouldn't do it. She probably has known him a long time, apparently they were in a relationship of some sort for a time. She is of no help to victims going by her statement which seems to be, stand up alongside a #metoo type position EXCEPT if it's a member of the Labor Cabinet you used to have relations with. Stark contrast to the WANats. First to come out & publicly state a no confidence in Barnaby Joyce. No fear, nor favour, no matter which party you're in.
Stark Contrast WA Labor...stark & very sad contrast.

Simone McGurk made no public comment on the rape humour post of her fellow Labor MP Darren West MLC. Politically it seems we should expect her to side with her tribe instead of what's right. It seems its a definite do 'whatever-it-takes' to protect their Labor party and her colleagues however many standards are lost by Ministerial silence.

So it currently stands on 2 key points. Either it happened as Vince Catania claimed or it's a complete fabrication as the Premier claimed. For it to be the latter, Vince Catania would have to know where all the cameras are, where the blind spots are and just hope & prey a male Labor MP walks across that spot when Mia Davies is in speech mode. He'd also have to know exactly when a Labor Male MP is when the camera at the very rear of the chamber is not filming as there'd be no blind spot.

It's a tall stretch to suggest that Vince Catania pre planned such an elaborate detailed plan of fabrication to enter a false claim when there are employees in the house that could come clean.

I didn't see it, I cannot say it definitely happened but Vince Catania says it did and the very moment it did happen you can see the look of stunned shock on some of the Nats MPs.

Something happened. Whatever did, because the Premier didn't see it doesn't mean it definitely didn't happen and that its a fabrication.

In fact using the Premier's logic, I didn't see it was a fabrication therefore it wasn't.

No I don't think Dave Kelly will get any sort of reprimand, the Labor cult has circled the wagons and their women MPs will join Socialist arms with the men, including the alleged feigned head butter and go for a opposing position to the claim.

Some facts we do know, since the days of the rise of the likes of Labor's Senator Graham Richardson the culture of Labor has continued to embrace the "whatever-it-takes" to win doctrine.

Its a sad day in the governing of our state that the floor of the Parliament has descending quite a few more notches.

Left ideology has helped drift our society towards the black hole. Its created so many mixed messages its confusing for all. The answer to bad behaviour is good behaviour, the answer to vice is virtue. Left thinking says all is good...until it suits us otherwise then its someone elses fault.

The standards in the WA Parliament have slipped, some say off a sheer cliff.
The highest standard people can or will ever hold is the lowest standard their leader holds.
At this stage Mia Davies is setting a standard the Labor Premier should be following but is ignoring.

This video is very good reminder of where the leftist ideology is sending us.
The real & proper solution is set out also. Virtue is the answer to vice. Good behaviour is the answer to bad behaviour. The answer is do the right thing without fear or favour.

The Moora Incident

The Perth Labor Party has made some good decisions, some hard decisions and some utterly indefensible ones. They were going to close School of the Air. The public backlash was so great they back flipped & the narrative they attached was awkward & concerning for many reasons.
Awkward because it was all in the name of budget repair, yet the replacement was ill defined poorly understood, badly explained and not costed within an inch of its life. Concerning because the regional Labor MPs didn't even know about it until it was announced. They weren't consulted so the so called advantage of having Country Labor MPs was a complete furphy and misnomer. When the pressure mounted MPs like Darren West dug in & battle on the PerthLabor battle hymn whilst Kevin Michel MP looked like the rabbit in the spot light. Others went missing in action & one with an office in Kalgoorlie wasn't at the rally outside his office at all. Concerning also because there was no stakeholder consultation at all. Not some, not too little...absolutely none.
We never got to find out what small group made up of which small number of people made the decision.
They backed down thankfully as the decision clearly became evident as being wrong on so many levels and yet to be found right on any. Thing is SOTA is not unique to WA and the entire northern half of Australia was mobilising for a nation fight on it & much of the southern half was coming along. Added weight was metro people who were previously unaware were against the abolition of SOTA as soon as they were made aware of the plan.

It was one of THE most embarrassing political moves we've seen in many decades and the proper true believers of old would roll in their grave. "Honest John" Tonkin would no doubt disbelieve Labor would become what it has.

Yes hard decisions have to be made but Hansard even points out many of the decisions WALabor Government has made are not sensible nor Budget Repair Related. Some are unashamedly part of political payback. Ken Travers says it, Ben Wyatt said it & so too did Darren West.

So why? Well politically there are reasons. The bush doesn't back down so they're not friendlies and need to be closed down in argument and blame needs to landed upon Labor's political opponents.
Why? How? What?

Well shutting down Moora Residential College is supposed to save $8million yet that number is clouded in mystery and it appears $500,000 will keep it operating. $7.5Million point of difference? Yes as embarrassing as that is but wait there's more...that $500,000 may actually include some of the staffing costs.
Here's the thing, the $8Million plus that Labor points at is actually for a full, extensive rebuild of the entire facility. It only needs $500,000 to stay open with suitable reno work. But what if the $500,000 doesn't include staffing, well doesn't matter if it doesn't. You don't close a place and jobs disappear as a cost saving or if you do it's entirely against Labor's "More Jobs" mantra.
The staffing is required somewhere, so there's no real change whether Moora closes or stays open.
Its an easy turn around to smart, informed fairness but Labor have painted themselves in the corner & need it to disappear such is the ongoing embarrassment Labor has installed.
Labor Ministers Ellery, Wyatt & McGowan won't visit Moora, still none have engaged with the community or any stakeholders. In fact if there hadn't been rallies in Moora & Parliament House there'd be no exchange between Sue Ellery & stakeholders, Moora locals or the parents of affected students at all. People who are spread out over 1000s of square kilometres to the north & north east. People who cannot afford private schools in Perth.

Labor was caught not funding the SW Rescue Chopper and stalled when they were caught out. It took the emergence of another loud campaign before they acted. They shouldn't be embarrassed about the backflips, they should be embarrassed about the original appalling decisions that led to corrections.
With Moora, their dug in assuming it would flitter and go away. They strangely thought it would die down, be accepted & go away.
They made yet another misjudgement. Now an ex-AFL legend has been pleased to get a selfie with the "Moora Quokka" that is the poster child of the Save Moora College push. Kudos to Dustin Fletcher, former Essendon great.

Moora still set to close yet PerthLabor sinks $3 Million into helping Perth's live music scene.
So why is this Government so badly out of kilter? (Yes Perth Live Music scene is set to get $3 Million to develop their live music. I kid you not)

Why so out of common sense kilter?
Seats. There are 8 Labor held seats sitting on a paltry 3% swing. There are 12 seats sitting on an 8% swing. THAT IS SUPER CLOSE.
Whilst we did see a massive red tide against the Barnett Liberal Government many of the seats weren't massive crushing political defeats. If Labor loses those 12 seats they will lose Government. Their chances of winning traditional rural seats is slim perhaps non existent but the battle ground will be in Perth. Those 12 seats are metro based.

The so called $40 odd billion Barnett debt is a bit of a dodgey Labor claim too. $11 Billion isn't actually real previous government money on the line, so Labor has to take ownership over that $11 Billion. It will be their addition to the dark debt line. There's money being tipped into Perth projects & Perth P&C committees that didn't apply for. There's huge concerns about the Labor initiative called Local Jobs. We're now hearing the majority of money is going out without proper application process. It's just being sent to chosen recipients.
No way to run a government.

Yes we're in a dead set mess of trouble. Royalties for Regions is being deeply slashed in the arms as well. Its going to be used as something it never was, its going to suffer a history setting example of appalling cost shifting. It will and is being used for paying for projects & expenditure that should be coming under normal ministry budgets or general expenditure. It lightens their load and shifts cost off the various departments. R4R is safe, its legislation, however where it goes is not safe at all & is being taken away from its original intent.

The take home message is this IS NOT a Perth vs the Bush thing. Perth people are slowly learning what's happening and slowly the groundswell that dominated the rural & regional areas is slowly creeping into the Perth metro area. Perth people realise that damage to rural students and country people is happening and apart from it being utterly wrong, unfair & indefensible it will have to be rectified later. Repairs to broken families will have to happen. Its a strange position and I've never seen such as short sighted political strategy ever. They had a bit of a plan to win the unlosable election & rather than having a plan to govern they have just gone over to plan to get re-elected in as many metro based seats as possible.

Pork Barrels aplenty in the Labor Held Seats. Eventually that will back fire and it will backfire far earlier than Labor will expect and when it does it'll be far too late. If this mess continues, then we maybe looking at a one term WALabor Government and unless there's a real mess up a 2 term Liberal government. All Libs will have to do is get re-elected and show real deliberate intent to fix the mess McGowan & Barnett governments have delivered.

So far Premier Mark McGowan was within his first year in government had overseas trips to Washington, UK, Germany, Dubai, Japan & China. Now into months of his 2nd year of his government another trip to China. The first cost over $250,000
The trough is deep with gravy for the greedy. No returns on those trips nor any real explanations of the reason for the trips except to tell our overseas customers "we're open for business"

Moora Residential College is open for business now, but only for this year.
For all his faults Colin Barnett might be very right on one thing. He warned another WA Inc was on the way. It may be sadly very prophetic.

No this is not a Perth vs Country people fight. This is very much a PerthLabor Party fight against anyone that might stand between them & re-election. What ever it takes appears to be the motto.

Here's some dots to join...

Livex Trade & The RSPCA's Most Unfortunate Position.

In the whole Live Export Debate there's the horrid & unacceptable deaths of livestock followed by the other casualty, the truth.

I have not met one primary producer who is ok with a shipment that lost 2400+ sheep due to over heating or any other reason. I also know that as repulsive as the 2400+ deaths were, we can be thankful at least for the fact that such events are statistical outliers and NOT standard practice amongst the compliant majority of the trade.

These facts and others lead many of us to say, "Penalise The Offending Outliers Not The Compliant Majority"

So what do we expect from ill informed activists. Not much but we expect a whole lot more out of the RSPCA. Here's an example, note the cute doe eyed but completely irrelevant dog holding a photo of a pen of sheep, because...well no reason other than to solicit emotions that gather support.

Facts not Feelings? Not On Your Life!

And what exactly was the con, the lie that the RSPCA were pointing to? No less than an "opinion piece" by Mark Riley in The West Australian. After spending the first third of the opinion piece winding up the emotion spin lever he finally arrives at a fact with a data point.

"Before this week, any mortality rate below 2 per cent was deemed acceptable." Trouble is Mark plucked this figure out of the air. Fact is, the mortality rate rarely goes over 0.7% so he's nearly 3 times higher. And in case anyone is wondering, here's a data point he missed, ignored, omitted or was too sloppy & lazy to find. OK that's not entirely fair, he may have been just too damn eager to write pre-suppositional piece that fits the narrative he's in love with.

Oh dear Mark you're not exactly looking like a reliable witness, please get out of jury duty too if it comes up, you will need to set aside bias and make judgements on facts.
But of course, we can look at other data sources, see what we can come up with.

Wow Look there Mark Riley & RSPCA - It seems like there's another statistical fact omitted, ignored or generally undiscovered. It seems the trade has a steadily falling trend line in Transit Mortality in the last 7+ years. So the Livex Trade has been improving.

I note at this point when I have shown these facts activists, yes including a Tweeter from RSPCA will say that deaths do not represent the suffering of the animals that survive. That is in fact kinda true. If a ship however had a 50% mortality rate due to excessive heat & little or no water its fair to assume the surviving 50% didn't have a very good time of it. There is a connecting link.
So if the mortality numbers are declining it means things are getting better. That is a definite fact.

"Oh but the mortality rate doesn't show the suffering of the survivors"
Yes but it doesn't show how many were smiling & doing cart wheels either.
You cannot argue from an absent negative. It doesn't show what it doesn't show. If it doesn't show something, the conclusion is inconclusive because there's no facts to judge.
But we do know when the mortality rate falls, the rest of the shipment has a greater likelihood of gaining weight per head. They do not gain weight whilst under distress.

When you have some facts, please speak up.

Now we'll leave Mr Riley aside. This shoddy article worthy of a bit of time on ABC's MediaWatch or perhaps a Q&A Fact Check is not the reason the RSPCA is in a Most Unfortunate Position.

There's this...a Sydney Morning Herald article by Rachel Browne on June 6th 2010
https://www.smh.com.au/environment/conservation/truth-about-cats-and-dogs-250000-killed-every-year-20100605-xlr4.html

Transit Mortality Rate in Livex is around 0.7% - This number is still unacceptable for the RSPCA or at least one of its internal voices. Its just too high a number and the Live Trade has to be banned.

Ok...9,600,000 million pets or companion animals in Australia. Annually 250,000 cats & dogs are put down. That's 2.7%

That's higher than Mr Riley's "2%"
It's also nearly 4 times higher than Livex's "0.7%
That's just "cats & dogs" doesn't include all other animals.

Question - WHEN IS THE RSPCA CALLING FOR AN ALL OUT BAN ON PETS & COMPANION ANIMALS IN AUSTRALIA?

Repeating that article of Rachel Browne's was dated June 6th 2010.
The RSPCA has had nearly 8 years to shut the pet industry down. Now mortality rates are only one indicator, they don't show the suffering of all the others not put down.

Using the RSPCA's own stats, it received 45,256 dogs in 2015-16 and put down 5872 dogs or nearly 13%
Using the RSPCA's own stats, it received 55,570 cats in 2015-16 and put down 16,205 cats or just over 29%
( https://www.rspca.org.au/sites/default/files/RSPCA%20Australia%20Annual%20Statistics%202015-2016%20.pdf )

That's a lot of killing. Perhaps every single one of them is justified. Perhaps that number is ok. Or perhaps in view of the fact its so much worse than Live Export we need to close down and abolish all pet ownership. Ban the entire Pet Trade.

In the 2015-2016 Financial Year there were 65,714 cruelty complaints. That's the action the Society is supposed to PREVENT.
In the same year there were 250 successful prosecutions.
So the RSPCA killed 100,826 cats & dogs (no we're not counting the other animals) and there were 250 successful prosecutions with 1963 charges laid. Curiously Victoria alone had the bulk of the charges laid, 1126. Not saying they're more cruel in Victoria, there are more people there...and there's very little Live export compared to WA.

No it seems on death rates alone the RSPCA should push for abolition of the massive Pet Industry before the Live Export Industry. I guess the Pet Industry is too big & powerful...or hang on let's tweak & use the Ban Live Export activist's battle cry...

"The RSPCA refuses to Ban The Pet Industry because they make money, blood money off the misery of the Pet Industry."

Come on RSPCA, if your job is to "prevent" cruelty, using your Live Export (non)Logic there is no room to move, there is no alternative...you must push for a full abolition of all pet & companion animals. Its a lot worse than the Livex Trade.

Animals Australia on the other hand, puts down zero animals. Rescues & rehomes zero animals. Put zero animals in its care. It does take photos & footage of anything to do with animal farming in the hope of closing it down. They are Animal Liberationists NOT animal welfare people.
Think they must be building numbers in the RSPCA.

Animals Australia? Yes...and here's their co-founder Peter Singer. His philosophy is that which he himself is devising. Be scared. This is a glimpse of the Politically Correct Moral & Fact Vacuum ahead of us.

LATE EDIT & ADDITION (22 July 2018)

This added bit is due to the Katanning meeting where best estimates are between 1000 & 1500 people attended. I spoke with one on the organisers and didn't think to ask if they had an official attendance number as people were all signing in, but he mentioned the number being around 1200.

Points to remember, there was a large police presence and I feel sorry for them being forced to roll up and wet nurse 1200 harmless non violent pro animal welfare producers. I spoke to one of the policemen and said at least he'll have a quiet day and if they were involved in any arrest today it'd be helping with a cardiac arrest. He said no worries "...we can help with that".

Note that, even the impartial policemen was there to help. I hope the police stationed streets away which apparently included riot equipped officers had a few newspapers & magazines to read. I appreciate their service as dead boring and wasted as it was.

I was disappointed in the minister as she skirted issues, gave tactical replies instead of answers and wandered off into la-la land on a bluff-the-crowd exercise a few times and got caught out. Rabbiting on about the need for dual purpose sheep and better breeding outcomes to produce a different type of sheep. Great idea, exactly what the industry has been doing since the sheep first hit Australia soil. But then she once also said farmers need to turn to spreading compost instead of fertilisers on broad acre crops...not one to understand soil science hidden within a soil test or leaf test result I guess.

Looking at Plan B as she kept saying is fine, I'm good with that but she's sticking with WALabor pre-election policy platform which clearly stated "transitioning the industry to chilled"
It's darkened stealth language for Ban Live Export. We need both Live & Chilled. She says Labor is not about closing the trade, but her actions, platform and words speak volumes otherwise.

As Barnaby pointed out, if we ban live export & deny the likes of Qatar (and Kuwait) Live Sheep they will halt all our chilled from entering the market. We will lose 2 export meat trades because that will be their reaction to the offence we will have caused them by denying them food security. Live will most likely be sourced from Somalia & Sudan who have no ESCAS type regulations to ensure Animal Welfare standards at all. It will be an Animal Welfare disaster here with stranded unsaleable stock & in the Middle East where all progress to modernised standards will be thrown out.

Or they'll source from South America which means an extra 4-5 weeks on the water. To do that economically there will be no 30% reduction in stocking rates. It will be a total loss making exercise with or without zero deaths.

This also plugs into the intellectually bankrupt argument that we can jump over to chilled as New Zealand banned live export. Actually NZ hasn't banned live export at all, they just provide very little to that trade at all. They have a permit system not a ban. Comparing NZ to the WA trade is comparing apples and Toyotas.

The Media was asked a question at the meeting but no one from the media stepped up.
To paraphrase, how is it that the majority of recent LSS shipments are 99.7% successful, they are humane, compliant & cruelty free and when stock footage of Live Export is needed for a TV story they ALWAYS use footage from the appalling Awassi. One of the most appalling, horrifying and unacceptable events in Live export. Now, still an outlier of course but none the less shocking.
Why do the media outlets use footage that is definitely NOT representative of Live Export as it is right now?
Can they stop now please?

This is an attack from a religious worldview. Barnaby is 100% correct it is a group of religious zealots and sheep is not the aim, all animal production & consumption is their target.

What can you do? Well I could tell you to join a Farmer Lobby Group, there's 2 main ones in WA but that suits some farmers & not others. Some for good reason some not, but consider doing it. Other option is a little simpler and a little more straight forward.

Join a political party and become quite vocal within the tent. No you won't get your way on everything, but you get your say on anything and yes, sometimes the most political place is within a political party. Thing is, you will get faster, quicker & easier access to MPs.

Looking at the Katanning meeting I'll list the MPs I saw.
Federals...
Barnaby Joyce MHR (Nat)
Rick Wilson MHR (Lib)
Senator Slade Brockman (Lib)

WA Parliament...
Alannah McTiernan MLC (Lab) Minister for Ag
Peter Watson MLA (Lab) Speaker of the House
Mia Davies MLA (Nats) Leader of the WA Nationals
Peter Rundle MLA (Nats)
Colin DeGrussa MLC (Nats)
Rick Mazza MLC (SFFP)

Worth mentioning David Littleproud MHR (Nats) Federal minister for Ag was coming but due to a G20 Agriculture Summit in Washington couldn't come & he asked for a date change so he could. Sadly it was very late in the peace so he had to send an apology.

So really? Join a political party?
Yes. Just pick one you think represents Agriculture best and join. When you send in your cheque add a note that you're joining because you want a fair outcome for Live Export that genuinely represents the Farming Economy and that you're prepared to shop around for a party at membership renewal time.

If you hate politics be aware, if your join a political party that may not change.
If you think changes are slow, if you join a political party that won't change.
If you hate not getting your way, if you join a political party that happens for sure.

But if you don't join a political party you are not only outside the tent, your miles from the tent door. You won't become a mover & shaker that gets results within minutes, mostly you'll become a small tooth on a large wheel inside a bigger machine. But those of you who are croppers with machinery or have had some background in motorsport you'll know the difference between winning & losing may just be the presence or absence of a small $2.00 part.

The political parties that represent the bush well usually do so on a tight, very tight 2nd hand shoe string budget. If they gather a few members and bolster their coffers a little, well things get easier. Noticeable is execs & MPs within a party sit up & take notice when there's a membership surge and generally want to know why & what aspects they need to cover to keep those members.

Political solutions are very much chip away at the stone with a wooden chisel sometimes, but it's better than shouting at the wind and sooner or later, things turn the way of the smaller parties that have maintained the fair and right path. They can get results. Often the bigger parties will revise history to claim all credit but a win is a win.

Yes it seems counter intuitive to join a political party but consider doing it. For the price of less than one export wether you are contributing and you don't have to get any more involved in the party machine than you want to. If you like, just keep it local branch centred but if you have some skin in the game, get some fist & bootstrap in as well.

Just be sure to contact the party of your choice, tell them you're pro Agriculture, pro Animal Welfare and pro Live Export and you're considering joining. You will have their attention and they will listen.

Stunning Absurdity Within Animal Liberationist Thinking.

Some stunning comments are made & I'm left wondering about how brains work at the ever increasing absurdity from time to time.

There's a couple of reoccurring traits present.

        1) The ten most utterly absurd replies or statements come from "Twitter Eggs" or anonymous accounts. When you ask them why they don't post under their real name various replies come forth generally about threats of violence, bullying, death threats.

        2) Shape shifting logic. They deliver blows on one point at a time where they think they & only they can win a silly internet point. Soon as their position begins to crumble it goes to another point quickly but more commonly it goes fact free and onto feelings. Most often its identity politics, undermine moral standing, a person defending live trade is of lesser worth or nasty. Weak.

First up, if you are being bullied with your real name you're going to get bullied with a fake name. It says you're keen to throw mud from behind a hidden mask. People don't always like that. If you can't settle a rattle cage you probably should let in someone from your position in who can use respectful facts. If you're getting death threats, call the police, site admin. Don't change yourself to a hidden identity so you can further encourage your "opponent"  to continue the behaviour. It's again about continuing the behaviour in order to degrade the position you oppose rather than using respectful facts. They need the angry bully yelling to use that as an undermining point so the facts can be skirted around and omitted. Bullying is wrong. Don't let it happen, don't enable it so you can win a silly internet point without referring to facts & data.

Here's a classic example...
Here's one post pointing out the contradictory fact that the transit mortality rate of Livex is actually lower than the rate of deliberate deaths by the RSPCA in the Australian Pet Industry. Both are unnecessary in that all would be better if we could eliminate them but some will occur. Point is the Pet Industry rate by the RSPCA alone is over 3 times worse. Why do we not close down the Aust. Pet Industry and BAN ALL PETS? At what number will pets equal Livex in disgust? Million Paws Walk, do we need 1 million pet kill a year to say Ban Pets? 5 million? Why is it different?

And here was the curious shape shifting reply...
This is one of the more staggering replies. Again in the ten most absurd replies I've seen the person's identity is obscured. I wonder how many are bogus shared accounts and how many are the same person. That aside the reply clearly states that deaths are not the issue, the cruelty is.
"Compare how" is a shape shifting attempt to drag the debate away from real facts & reposition it where the staggering Twitteregg thinks there's a discourse advantage to them. How is separate from why. Both are unnecessary deaths, that is an omitted fact but they what they've clearly said is deaths don't matter or don't matter as much as cruelty. In fact with that logic extended with death not an issue we can load up a rusty obsolete death ship and as long as the crew can execute the sheep before or just as any suffering starts.
In trying to stick with facts not feelings we have a twitteregg who's been able to go further into a fact free zone. Same week a ship arrives in the Middle East with very low mortality rates, below the usual 0.7%, no disease, no evidence of suffering or cruelty and no mention of it. A cattle shipment also arrives with cattle having put on weight whilst on board which indicates little or no stress rates whilst in transit. No mention. Facts not mentioned are still actual relevant facts.

The other issue is yes, Livex end up with 100% mortality, because they're food. Its all a necessary death. Its life, its as humans have operated throughout the ages. The same contempt is not extended towards the lion killing the antelope because remember there is no "humane death" delivered by the lion but strangely no moral outrage toward the lion. Nor should they be, its nature, its what nature does. The higher on the food chain feeds on those below. If you're an overtly godless liberationist who thinks we're all just animals, then morally eating meat is just fine, there is no ethical dilemma.
Is the antelope's death cruel or just part of nature, just naturally doing what each species do? Why can humans be vilified for keeping each other in enough food? Stark hypocrisy that's soon imploded due to it's logic free basis.

Sound the alarm...it would be at this point the Twitteregg would embark on Shape Shifting to another kernel of falsehood or logic free distraction. Count on it. Still no reply on RSPCA killings being ok & why. Just it has to be omitted, ignored or hidden away, no logic applied as it implodes the shape shifters position.

No when you have a Animal Rights zealot on the ropes in an internet debate remember a few things.
  1. It's the internet so it probably doesn't matter or make any difference.
  2. If they're a devout Animal Rights Cultist, Animal Religion Zealot there's a fair chance good well placed facts will change no one's mind. They are pre-suppositional in their approach and differing views are bordering on evil.
  3. If you win a point or two you can expect to be labelled as immoral, evil or a pro cruelty abuser and the list goes on. This is Identity Politics. To avoid having to face facts, they will provoke the other side until they fire a salvo back perhaps with a hard insult or bad language. Be advised you'll then be hit with questions about your character for being so hate filled and horribly abusive. That is the aim. It's not productive as no one is challenging their thinking, a pointless internet point is one & lost. It makes no difference except to those few open minded observers who may not be posting but are on the fence & assessing. If pro welfare/pro Livex people are labelled as abusive, threatening bullies the facts of the trade are brushed aside. Intellectual Corruption Wins.
  4. Return to the facts, use industry data where you can and remember you probably cannot convert the mind of a rabid zealot, but you can help to prevent them getting away with murder in the debate.

Peter Watson MLA - Member for Albany

Peter Watson MLC is the Labor member for Albany. What's he actually done in his time?
Well for the most part he's done nothing wrong. Not done much else really.

He organises plenty of things, wears funny hats, silly costumes gets in front of a microphone and has a sing along where food is free or cheap. Little cabaret act, but politically, no not a lot. As a long standing incumbent he really needs a scandal to be turfed out. Doing nothing wrong is generally enough to keep getting elected for an incumbent.

He's Speaker of the Lower House. What's this mean?
It means he gets a nice boost in salary and staff.
It means he cannot vote on the floor of the parliament unless there is a tie and with the large majority Labor has, he will not vote at all for the entire duration of this Parliament.
He takes no formal part in government business at all. Yes he can get in the ear of the Premier or ministers but he has not formal ability to affect any change at all. He's the umpire of the Parliament.

He's a member of Labor so even if he could vote, he cannot cross the floor in the best interests of his electorate. If he did so as Speaker he faces the possibility of being expelled from the party. If he did as a normal MP he would definitely be expelled from the party. So to secure his place both he and any other Labor MP will not cross the floor ever. The cult will deliver brutal payback on such independent thinking.

He stood on the steps of Parliament with a 40,000 signature petition complaining about cuts to education. He was in opposition at the time and that was an opposition ploy. He cannot be consistent in Government. That's all in the past. So when people ask "Why are you not supporting education the rural & regional areas? Why is Moora Residential College being closed for lack of $500,000 yet PerthLabor Government pours $3Million into developing "live music scene" in Perth?"

There's no answer other than to blame the previous government. They weren't perfect either, but they're not in power now & they're not advocating $3Million for Perth live music instead of $500,000 for Moora.
Moora is a regional education hub servicing students from many thousands of square kilometres to north and east of Moora.
There's also no need to axe the Boarding Away from Home Allowance (BAHA) for the most vulnerable in the regions who haven't got a High School nearby & cannot afford the expensive Perth Private Schools. The likes of Moora is essential and the BAHA is also.

Labor axed the School of the Air, but thankfully due to outcries it was reversed. It was a savage & thoughtless decision and reversing it doesn't excuse it. With Labor crowing it has the most regional MPs of any party you'd think they'd all know of that decision in advance. None did. Not one. And none of them wanted to comment on it. One slipped up and said he knew nothing of it until it's public announcement. Biggest regional education cut to the most remote students and not told nor consulted. Stark reminder that Labor's MPs in the bush are cardboard cutouts & do as they're told by their masters regardless of their electorate's needs.

South West Rescue Chopper was axed too, but reinstated after huge public outcry. Again the Regional Labor MPs like Peter Watson went into siege mode in the bunker. No comments made before during or after the backflip. It was a savage & thoughtless decision, proven so, yet no comment and silence was the stern reply.

Ag Schools are now targeted for a gouge of their working account.

School Camps are to be closed and sold to developers.

CRC's are to cop a 40% funding cut. There's 2 in Peter Watson's electorate, but he's laying low and trying to get photos taken of him at sporting matches as a distraction.

Now Labor is on the Live Export bandwagon, avoiding facts and going with feelings.
The 2400-2500 deaths was utterly repulsive and indefensible but thankfully its a statistical outlier NOT common practice. The death rate in transit rarely goes over 0.7%
The RSPCA kills 250,000 unwanted pets a year which equates to an estimate 2.6% of the Australian Pet Population. No deafening outrage on that worse statistic & no calls by Labor & Peter Watson to ban all pets & companion animals. Funny that.

If the Livex trade is banned that's 3 Million+ extra animals that will have to be processed in WA, many in the north where there is no processing facilities. WA Processors say they can take on all the livestock from the Live Trade, process it here and sell it.
Why is Peter Watson not asking "Why aren't you doing that now? If you can, just out compete the Livex trade in the market place, can't you do it now because if you can, why aren't you? Are you waiting for the livestock prices to fall to zero with a market ban first?"

Peter? Where are you? Take of you're silly cowboy or Santa hat and stump up some answers based on Facts not Feelings.

Banning the trade will cause an economic, ecological and animal welfare disaster beyond all known proportions. Rangelands and farmland relies on sheep & cattle industry to make lands viable and business profitable. Production of livestock for domestic markets or foreign chilled boxed relies on Livex to hold the farm gate prices up. The market needs the competition. Remove the biggest player the price plummets and we see a repeated disaster that the Gillard Ban caused that shut rural businesses down, bankrupted producers and led to many suicides.

Peter? Where are you?

He's gone full socialist cult with full socialist dogma at hand, behind the façade.
Anything that wins is fair, even if everything socialists touch is ruined.
The removal of the Livex will destroy the market price, the flow spending that has an economic multiplier of minimum 3 to 4.

The savage payback isn't restricted to agriculture, its pushed onto any non Labor, non Perth seat.
Education is being savaged and its ramping up.

Did you know that more money is going into Basketball in the Premier's electorate in just one year than will go into the Ice/Meth Rehab programme in Albany over 2 years? Fact.

Did you know that the Premier has visited Washington, London, Germany, China, Japan & Dubai in his first year but hasn't visited Moora to explain the College Closure? Can't even get the Education minister to go to Moora.

This is not a City vs Country Fight, this is a PerthLabor Party vs the Country fight. Most city people are unaware of the current unfair gouge fest by PerthLabor or the horrible affect its having on rural & regional people. To further explain it, if the PerthLabor Government loses all the seats they hold with a paltry 3% margin they'll lose 8 seats at the next elections. If they were to lose all seats with a 8% of less margin they'll lose 12 seats and also lose government. Its on a knife edge and they're trying every trick in the book to buy metro seats and like Federal Labor snatch up as many disgruntled Greens voters as possible.

WHATEVER IT TAKES & TAKING FROM NON LABOR IS VERY FINE WITH THEM

So is all this swimming around in the gravy train whilst gouging the regions as political payback a real thing or is it just a political whinge...Have a look at the following & decide for yourself. Its pretty easy to see & understand.

This is the Labor Treasurer Ben Wyatt, from Hansard.

And this is from Ken Travers who was a Labor MP until he retired prior to the last State Election

Again from Hansard, Labor MP Darren West admitting the gouging & paying for the costs of pork barrel sweetners popping up in metro Labor was not about budget repair
