Its a real mess, in all parties, on all sides and as a result WE THE PEOPLE will pay the most. Some more than other others but benefits to the state, to the electorates will slide down.
The comment is often we have a tough arrogant government and a weak depleted opposition so we're in trouble & the real variance in the mix will be how much sugar is sprinkled on the optic as there's little or nothing the people can do but ride out the storm as best they can. That People Power is going to have little effect for quite some time, the Government will do what the Government wants & the Opposition cannot stop them.
All correct but there is another thing that's often forgotten.
The Pendulum.
The pendulum ALWAYS swings. It gets bad one way, it shifts and often swings too far the other way but it swings, it always does. Only thing that varies is the variation in the swing speed & the onluy real concern is how much damage is done between swings. At the moment it appears the duration of swing is great & the amount of damage isn't over & might determine how big a swing is coming.
The date of WA State Elections is set. Its 1 year, 6 months & 18 days until the next State Election on March 8th 2025. So we know when the pendulum will be apparent. And like share prices, the election results reflect the position on that past date. Yes there is a small opposition in Parliament, yes one Party controls both houses by an enormous majority, so much so they do not need many of their MPs to sit in the chamber. In fact the Labor Party MPs need only attend enough sittings to qualify for their salary. They need only attend one minute of sitting time on & not attend for months. I assume Labor MPs are many in whatever office rooms they can use doing other matters, with their chamber on the speakers in their room & they need but a small sprinkling of MPs in the actual chamber. In fact, go onto the Hansard Video. It's not uncommon to see very few cabinet ministers in the chamber. It's extremely rare to see half the cabinet in the chamber at the one time. They are not taking the actual parliament very seriously, they have full unfettered control & can destroy any opposition amendments to any bill.
This means a ruling elite can construct a Bill without many of their own party even aware its coming until they get word.
We also have a growing list of ministerial failures.
The Pendulum will swing but such is the horse trading for positions in the WALabor Government there's going to be a near on punch up if the Premier even so much as entertains a cabinet reshuffle.
Here's what's lost.
1) In the "old days" wiser parliamentarians who wanted to stay elected for a longer time knew and operated wisely. They knew the next election campaign starts the day after an election campaign result is settled. Every day between elections WAS the campaign.
That's now lost. Now there's four and a half day news cycles. If you want to announce something with less fuss & criticism you make a soft announcement long before that doing "x" was a very likely possibility depending on advice and better forecasts as they become available. That's code for, we've already decided & amongst the decision is this dead cat bounce pre-announcement to lessen the blow...and we'll likely make the real announcement around midday on a Friday when all the news outlets are well & truly into full Sport Mode for the weekend. During AFL season is the best time for a weekend softner, Monday morning it'll be time diluted due to reporting on weekend sporting results.
Unsure? Well the dead cat bounce softner announcement for removing the State of Emergency (SOE) has happened already. Thats the SOE we already know is not based on Health Advice. They'll be fishing for every softner coupled with every distraction they can muster.
2) Parties are corporate governance black holes. All parties have Machiavellean players with way too much influence and control, with way too many people getting out of their lane & into the Over Reach Freeway with little or no tension or pull back.
All parties need Corporate Governance reviews & widespread party reforms. The one party (like them or hate them) the Liberals, is well under way in a review & a reform. They & the Nationals should have both undergone full blown review, reforms, recalibration & then reboot in 2015. I say that now because I was saying it at the time.
7 years later, MPs have been controlling their Parliamentary Party (which is fine) but sadly they've also been controlling their organisations. All parties are in this predicament. It has several resulting problems. Machiavellean acts increase. Corporate Governance declines. Good people trying to effect good improvements will be targeted & be tipped under the bus and MPs will have very little accontibility in the organisation itself. That is, they are less answerable to the lay members & their equivilent of a board, the group that run the organisation, the ones who are repsonsible for Strategic Thinking are either over run, bypassed or stacked to the point they cannot deliver good governance & their proper fiduciary duty. That or they just do the MPs bidding & lay members get token double speak.
No party is free of this problem. None.
3) As good people leave the volunteer roles, the organisation's elected positions due to being targeted, undermined so to do other good people donating time to help the party do what they assume is the aim, help the state & the most vulnerable. Leaving with them is volunteered time, skill & experience...and cash donors. The reliance then goes not to bread & butter mums & dads, but to large corporate donors most often they'll be property developers, media owners, mining entities (mostly the mainly foreign owned) and other larger special interest groups. Leaders will have high buck dinners & soirees with advocacy groups and other corporate players. You won't see them have black tie paid access booze ups with P&C groups, WA SHire Presidents, Drug rehab providers and advocates...only the big money in the big end of town. The spiral begins, human nature takes over and they accelorate their dive into corporate dollar pursuit.
These things not only take over, they push aside a party's culture, their actual core values get diluted or worse still completely lost. Those are the things that drive their strategic thinking, that directs their strategic planning & worse still when the parliamentary side gains greater control of any party, the Machivellean creeps in & the accountibility to its members fades away to a forgotten memory. All that remains is the scramble for election & re-election at the expense of the reason why people come together to put others into Parliament.
Now, the career is more important than the values of the party & the benefit to the electors.
Now you have a greater amount of politicians not legislators who talk for hours under water with a mouthful of marbles & say very little. Politicians who can work the room when things are tough to keep critics one on one, not in a group where the politician has to yeild, to listen & to improve. In the group setting the poltiician needs only great oratory skills to help motivate the room, to entertain & inspire even though its smoke, mirrors and a deliberate made up performance.
If a pendulum were to swing it needs to stop swinging from one tribe to the other. It needs to swing from poor governance, poor strategic thinking planning, poor accountibility & greater control of the political optic & swing towards World's Best Corporate Governance, properly known policies, properly known procedures, properly known lines in the sand within the parties to halt over reach & manipulation.
Its only then will we get back to Wise Progressives vs Real Conservatives in the Legislature.
Until then we will be stuck with factions, Machiavellean thugsters, political theatre props and grifters after personal gains ala restructuring the personal debt, elevating their previous lowly go no where careers & building a retirement fund they could never do on their own. Too many grifting thespians with above average debating skills.
FWIW - Many people get turn off as soon as they use the words "Ruling Elite" as a critical descriptor, but they sadly it is a valid descriptor & turning away only gifts more control to the grifters at the top.
The Premier is one of the more successful election leaders WA has seen. He ran a Labor tidal wave result in 2017, when the pendulum swung against the Colin Barnett Government. Then in 2020 McGowan followed it up with a monumental Political Tsunami despite Labor's less than stunning performance. No infrastructure has been signed off under Labor except MetroNet which is billions over budget & years over due. I think all the new schools, the Optus Stadium and hospitals were signed off under Barnett. Health Portfolio is very sharp decline into a far worsening crisis. Poltiical masterclass, governing disaster. 1200 Ambulance ramping hours under Barnett was rightly described by opposition Health Spokesperson Roger Cook as a crisis. As minister it regularly hit above 3000 hours and Cook described it as operating "fantastically" and operating at full capacity.
People died though. And now under Sanderson its set to hit the first ever record high of 7000 hours and sections of hospital corridors are taped off to keep patients on gurneys for treatment.
To then have such a massive swing in 2020 was a political master stroke...despite the actual poor performance from 2017-2020. Such is our problem, political optics trump performance.
In this landscape, when the pendulum swings it will swing too hard, too far the other way...
We may end up with boom crash style stability as any traces of Statesmanship are lost. Taken out the back & shot by Public Relations gurus & media manipulators.

Proven - Corruption in the Australian Media
Yes, that's the claim, the Australian media is corrupt, is full of corruption. The Left control the ABC, The Gaurdian & maybe one or two of the commercial TV channels. The right, controls anything Murdoch, anything Sky and some of the commercial networks.
The thing is, it's never actually been proven & if it is provable what can be done?
Well I'm going to have to go look & find out because if there is corruption, even intellectual corruption it has to stop & it has to be called out.
Sky gets called right leaning, yet Graham Richardson is on there. He's never slammed Sky & don't be fooled, "Richo" is no boby's bitch & he is not without money or influence.
ABC gets slammed with being left leaning. Well maybe it is or maybe very few conservative commentators go there or not invited there. Some of their shows do try for some balance...
I think the greater problem is the same old problem that we see in politics. When you're thinking skullduggery by all means seek it out, look under the bed or behind the curtains for LWNJs & RWNJs...but remember ot never under estimate incompetence and the easy headline.
Roe v Wade blew up & somehow here in Australia it went ballistic, even though the decision to over turn Roe v Wade had constitutional validity & many commentators ignored the 10th Amendment that the Supreme Court Justices did not. Somehow here, lazy politicians cranked up, including some so called conservatives & missed the point. The decision was not about Abortion being legal or illegal, it was about the validity of if being covered under the constitutition & that in overturning it returned it to being a matter for the states to decide & legislate. What it did was halt a federal government committing over reach & over ruling a matter that is state law. We remember this here as the concept of federalism. I heard many MPs, journos, political commentators crank up and get this so horribly wrong & talk about a woman's rights to her body. Totally, completely unconnected to the over turning. Overturning Roe v Wade was not about abortion, it was about State Laws vs Federal Over Reach.
Fact that so many journos, MPs & commentators missed this...no not a conspiracy it was just very lazy...no very sloppy & lazy thinking (or not thinking) where people made up their mind & then tried to prove it.
Trump Raids. I'll wait & see but here's the thing if this turns out to be a political raid there's some people who will need to be charged & someone will have to go to jail. At this point I do not agree that Russians were involved in electing Trump nor electing Biden. One minute Trump "stole the election" next it was claimed "Biden stole the election" with Russian help.
I think Trump was the man they need to be in the White House at that time, they need a great disruptor. In many ways the USA did better than it had on a number of things when Trump was there compared to Biden. But next election I hope Trump, Biden & Kamala Harris are not in the White House. They & therefore we in the rest of the world need to see an experienced politician, one with many straits of Statesmanship if we're all to do better.
I think if the Trump raids do turn out to be a political raid it not only presents a sign of immense danger already within their political system it also means Trump is more likely to run & far more likely to get elected as President at the next election. It may yet turn out to be the biggest backfiring political act of treason.
What I hope happens is Trump rides the raids out & whatever happens pursues full justice on whoever is in the wrong & decides to not run. The criteria for running for President is pretty simple, have to have been born in the USA and have to be over 35 years of age...and thats about it.
The disqualifications are pretty straight forward & in their constitution too. Most don't realise you cna actually run for the office of President even if you're in jail but I think ineligible if its a serious crime like murder or rape.
Trump is going to have to be charged, that leads to the idea lawyers call "discovery" and that will show the intent of the warrant, what the FBI believed was there. Anything else they find might lead to charges but if there's no 'whatever the warrant cites' there...well I think there's a good old house of cards about to not just fall but burst into FBI flames. Especially is they do find out the Hunter Biden LapTop was given a hidden snow job as Biden was running his Presidential campaign. I don't think the media is corrupt on that matter either, but largely incompetent. I have seen a number of video memes that show US commentators from many different networks using the exact same language on many topics. Lot of lazy parrots in the US ranks.
So no, I do not claim there is corruption in the Australian or US media. If that were true then there is definite corruption in both State & Federal Parliaments in Australia & the USA. There might be but there's no reason to think there is at this stage. There's some really good journos, commentators, broadcaster, Senators, Members of Parliament & they kinda stand out because they're so few. They'd stand out more but I think their percentage is so low they are a lesser voice in all the noisey din.
I also am not sure, at least in Australia anyway how a news network or media giant can be so one sided and therefore influence the outcome of an election. If the ABC/Stokes is so far left & Sky/Murdoch is so far right wouldn't they only be pitching to one side?
Wouldn't they be preaching to the choir?
Another mystery (with hindsight) is how Joe Biden became the most voted for President in their Nation's history. Yup I'm sure the negative side of Trump helped cause that but do you really think Biden was so much better than Obama?
I guess there were many people from the centre & many more "never voted before" electors who registered to vote to get Trump out. I think some of them might be suffering voter's remorse. Maybe a 2nd term of Trump might have been better than his first, maybe it might have been worse than the current Biden one...we will never know.
We do know, Kamala Harris was not even good enough to get passed their first round of Presidential debates & pulled out but somehow was better than all the other runners up & made Vice President.
Think about that, all the candidates bar maybe one laid waste to Kamala Harris & she somehow ends up Vice President. How, why?
Because Joe Biden declared from the outset he would choose his Vice President running mate & it would be a black woman. She was chosen because she's black & she's female.
It is very likely that America Has Fallen some time ago, the Trump Raids and their ensuing wreckage will determine it once & for all if it has.
I think the same is happening here, we have maybe 10% good MPs spread across all parties. The rest are either restructuring their pre Parliament debt, professionally elevating themselves far & well beyond their pre-Parliament prospects & enjoying the attention, influence & invites they never would have got Pre Parliament. I think too, some are there for the retirement package. The number of very low to medium level managers in government & quasi government entities is amazing...and scaring many of us.

Albany Advertiser Article the Referendum on Voice To Parliament.
Here's the article in question. page 3 Albany Advertiser 4th of August 2022.
The article headlines as a comment from Liberal MP for O'Connor Rick Wilson. To be fair the paper also sought comment from Albany Indigenous identity Lester Coyne. I thought that was more than appropriate considering you want as many sides as possible given space.
Lester being a good bloke is great, but like minded or differing we all need to challenge our own thinking.
I'll make a prediction, the referendum as it's currently framed will fail. I'm not even sure if it's being deliberately framed for failure or whether its purely incompetence by the Albanese Government. With the political lens applied with strong focus, there's an argument for saying the Labor Government could gain political capital if its passed or if it fails. Failing it can claim some are racist, uncaring & any other negative guilt terms & phrases. But their political win or loss aside, in the end Indigenous Australians will have been given the hope of a promised something & it will fail them. To an extent I think that will be the result if the currently framed referendum push actually passes. But as to whose voice & what sort of voice well that is actually known.
Lester wants detail then says he's worried detail might be used to delay it, whatever it actually is.
Then suggests we read the Final Report of the Referendum Council (*link below) which it sort of looks like he hasn't read it or he's forgotten what it says. Well I had read it. It says whose voice it is. Aboriginal & Torress Strait Islanders. It also says what sort of voice.
It appears to be non binding (at this stage) upon the Parliament. It will not interfere with "parliamentary supremacy" & would "enable the First Peoples of Australia to speak to Parliament and the nation about laws that concern them" We don't know what "concern them" actually means, whether its anything that interests a significant number of them, all of them, how they arrive at that point of concensus or if it's only matters that specifically impact Indigenous Communities. Its a little open ended. There's also the thought that if legislation if being formed at what point do the "People of the Voice" get involved. Once its drafted, once its tabled as a motion? If the people of the voice only get involved once it's tabled does it have to be shelved until they've had time to go through whatever consultation process they need to enact amongst First Peoples of Australia? I can see the time table of processing some Bills into an passed Act is going to blow out. Or is there an elite group of indigenous leaders elected by & acting on behalf of all Indigenous Peoples? I think this detail is very important & stunned it's missing. It might end up being a First Nations Parliament that influences what the actual Parliament passes. Or...? The scary part which I think will be a nail in the coffin is that the Voice, will have its structure & its functions determined by the Parliament through legislation...by the ruling party & subsequently it can be altered by the Parliament. That is THE most important detail of all details. The majority political party in Government will set the structure & function and any ruling Government afterwards could add, delete or alter it if they have the numbers. A CONSTITUTIONALLY ENSHRINED BODY REPRSENTING ONE RACE GROUP WILL HAVE ALL IT'S STRUCTURE & FUNCTION DETERMINED AFTER THE REFERNDUM AND A RULING PARTY CAN ALTER IN THE PARLIAMENT AS THEY SEE FIT. You hopefully see this. A Constitutional Side Step. An enshrined constitutional mechanism will need absolutely no referendum of all Australians to be changed. It will be a referendum on side stepping the constitution on constitutional amendments. Big no vote for me.
So for some at least, maybe the Government maybe not, we don't know...the aim is 2 seperate sovereignties but one has its membership based purely on race, the other is based on Australian citizenship regardless of race, creed, colour, religion, location within Australia etc. This is another big No Vote for me. It shamefully suggests values & identities are seperate & non compatible, both are protected & a Voice is given in policies and laws made by one sovereignty (Australian parliament). As well meaning as this may have been by some, I think it's aims are out of control & out of the realm of bringing unity & will could potentially slow down the passage of laws dramatically. Once a Voice on a Bill has been given, what then if it's ignored or deemed not of value to the greater good of the greater number of Australians? Or will the lesser group by virtue of their race have a binding veto type say? All this lack of detail is counter productive & I think it will lead the referendum to an assured failure. Maybe then there will be detail. Referendums are extremely difficult to get passed. To quote the Parliamentary Education Office "Since 1901 there have been 19 referendums, proposing 44 changes to the Constitution; only 8 changes have been agreed to"

Unprecented FMD Disaster Close & Your Local MPs
So for sometime the threat of Foot and Mouth Disease (and also Lumpy Skin Disease) has been close. The preparations for the unlikely incusion have always been close but of late it's closer & bigger than ever before.
How big? Well the biggest threat ever is nearby. 350,000 head of cattle in Indonesia are thought to be infected. That's 350,000 head of cattle destined for a fire and a pit.
If we get an outbreak it will be devastating. Even wool production will be affected as it cannot be moved.
It affects all cloven hoof animals. Cows, sheep, goats, alpacas, camels & its highly contagious & will devastate the nation. It will result in quarantine restrictions like most would never believe.
This is big. It will affect the red meat industry & locally where outbreak is, it is shut & livestock have to be destroyed & properties will have to be completely closed until the property is tested to be free.
Yesterday at Mt Barker there was a FMD Workshop. I gather the original aim was to get 70-90 people attend. The actual esitmates that attended vary, but the lowest was 150 with even more watching online.
The event explained how the official framework works, what when & how it launches into action once an outbreak is detected & what is in play to ensure a prevention of incusion.
No, perhaps enough is not being done to prevent an incusion especially when planes come in from Bali (where FMD has been detected). One of the WAFarmers execs cited how a recent plane came into Perth, the outbreaks in Indonesia/Bali were known and only 4 Border Force were there to process nearly 500 people. The report said the first few bags inspected revealed meat products, a seriously high risk for carrying FMD. That then created a complete halt to the process but eventually between 300 and 400 people were waved through without being checked/processed.
Thats a Federal Govn let down. On the State Govn side, the Dept of Primary Industries & Regional Development, that is what was the Ag Dept has been routinely let down with funding. It hasn't even grown in the most leniant measure. Staff numbers are low. If we have an outbreak there are not enough staff to re-deploy for the control & check measures that would come in under the Response Plan.
We are in a very exposed position. It is akin to a foreign enemy launching their landing craft & heading for our beaches whilst we only have a dozen Korean War veterans armed with broom handles from Bunnings to repel the threat. With a set of State Coffers with a a supposedly bursting seams holding between $5 & 8 Billion dollars you'd think we could fund the Ag Dept for Biosecurity alone to keep up with inflation at least...
Where were the Members of Parliament?
Well at the Mt Barker meeting one state MP was there. Steve Martin MLC, member for the Agricultural Region. Also there, federal MP Rick Wilson MP, the member for O'Connor.
And all the others. Not there. No comment, no social media mentions, just complete radio silence.
The WA Minister for the Dept of Primary Industry & Regional Development, Alannah McTiernan MLC, who has an office in Albany. Absent.
She shares an office with the Member for Albany Rebecca Stephens MLA. Absent. In fact she was door knocking in the morning & in the afternoon when the meeting was actually happening, where was she? Well her social media showed she was tucked up in her office signing letters. No time to go to a meeting regarding the biggest threat to Australian Agriculture in our living history.
Priorities.
Well great news she go 47 likes for not looking after one of her electorate's biggest industries. How big?
Agriculture was worth nearly $600 Million in 2020/21. The entire Fletcher's abattoir operation & all its jobs, the nearby cattle saleyards...all at risk. She's signing letters, & joshing about one being to her mum.
She's well out of her depth & without the theatrical photo stunts she would never be known or seen. Never ever comments on legislation, what she votes for & against nor why. We have no representation. We have an empty vessel that delivers nothing but smiles, cuts ribbons & delivers cheques for Govt Departments that she had no part in organising. She is a theatre prop.
What about the Member for Warren-Blackwood Jane Kelsbie MLA? Well she went the furtherest. She promoted the event on her FaceBook page. Albeit the same day the event was on & well after it was sold out. She did take the opportunity to promote the government by saying...
"The McGowan Government's $15 million investment in the 2021-22 State Budget has delivered 22 new full-time equivalent biosecurity positions to enhance early warning and detection, boost emergency preparedness, and build response capacity. "
However Jane deftly avoided saying how many staff have been lost since 2017. I'm told this number may be included in an Opinion Piece later this week in the Farm Weekly. It many times more than 22.
She did not attend the meeting & replies on her Social Media are telling...again by her absence. But hey, she got 20 likes...even if some are fellow Parliamentarians & staffers.
We did get a very informative first contact email from Dr Michelle Rodan the Chief Veterinary Officer from DPIRD.
The take home message is make sure you have a PIC, make sure all your NLIS data is correct & up to date, have a biosecurity plan for your own farm. Most importantly, be prepared, be aware, be ready but stay calm not alarmed. Underfunded as DPIRD is, they & federal staff are prepared but they will need more staff & resources.
If you do that you won't have to rely on the local Members of Parliament who are completely absent or focusing solely on cutesy social selfy stunts.
Away from absent MPs focused on Social Media distraction stunts & back on FMD which they're avoiding...
If this gets into the SW, all livestock & livestock products like meat, offal, wool will be frozen statewide. Wool may be frozen from instate movements for 6-8 months. All livestock markets will freeze. We'll see how much stockpiled meat there is in freezers. We'll see if foreign owned supermarkets quickly push the prices up of stored & already costed & paid for meat goes for. I expect they will see the opportunity to ramp the prices. And if people think shop prices for meat & milk will plumment, if it does it will only fall for a while once the restrictions are all lift. We then have to rebuild all the closed markets & customers that flee.
Producers that can will do as they did when Wool's Reserve Price Scheme was scrapped...MANY GOT OUT OF LIVESTOCK & WENT 100% CROPPING. Flooding that market & we saw farmgate prices
Now worse still...if it gets into the SW all walking tracks & forest access will have to halted. If it gets into the SW Feral Pig population it will spread like a grass fire. There are an estimated 3000 head of feral pigs in the Walpole forest alone & families in Albany have been regularly "getting a pig" to live on for years within 50kms of Albany. Feral pigs have been largely ignored & get this, if a primarly producer so much as shoots a feral pig coming thru his fence from a State Forest they will be prosecuted if so much as foot is still on Crown Land. Yes, the producers will be prosecuted & lose their firearms whilst pigs are not controlled.
80% of WA's meat goes into the Export Market. It cannot be replaced by kill/proccessed here & shipped chilled/frozen. If it could easily compete 50% of the meat exported would be chilled or frozen. Financially it cannot compete. If FMD comes in there is no supply to the small amount of processed in WA Abattoirs.
This is lost. When livestock transport stops, supplies to WA Abattoirs stops. The State Govt wants to shut Live Export & replace it with an unviable, unsustainable WA Processed model. Producers will flee the industry & Livestock production in the North will disappear. But the minister is all no big deal.

What Do You Have In WA? Politicians or Legislators? WAKE THE HELL UP.
Just over 2 weeks since the Supreme Court of The United States (SCOTUS) Roe V Wade hit the news.
Some hapless WA Politicians on both sides showed their extreme left convictions by going to town on the decision. As said in a previous blog post over 2 weeks ago, there clearly are idiots in Parliament.
As said before, these are some of the issues these hopeless Theatre Props show up with & display their committment to virtue signal whilst avoiding facts or show they don't understand understand/support facts.
- It has nothing to do with WA or Australia. It is a Foreign Sovereign Nation's Domestic Legal Matter. (Thats enough for a half smart Australian elected representative to not focus on it)
- Legally it has nothing to do with Abortion. The SCOTUS ruling was neither pro nor anti Abortion.
- It was entirely based on whether it was Legally Constitution & one merely has to not be sloppy & lazy and read & understand the 10th Amendment of the Constitution. IT WAS CLEARLY A STATE MATTER NOT CONSTITUTIONAL. Note how many of the Chardonnay Socialist Virtue Signallers failed to mention the 10th Amendment to the US Constitution.
- Politicians on both sides were sadly seen as politicians and not responsible legislators. They read the wind, followed some small part of what they thought was trending and showed they knew nothing about which they were waving false virtue on. Be scared, these are your law makers.
- The false argument on the grounds of Abortion (ignoring the Consititutional Ruling) was also flawed & when asked when does life begin, no politician replied...in fact several of them locked the thread so no one could reply.
Those that members of the public who ran to the sad MPs defence answered for the MPs with versions of "life begins when the woman decides" without saying where that God level decree began, who delivered it to the human race & who made it a human right that is binding upon all & exceeds all laws of the land. No wonder the MPs locked the comments...they did not want to answer any of long list of intellectual, ethical, moral & philospical dilemmas they have left unanswered. - Effectively its a seriously dangerous position & could mean a woman could go full term, gets her contractions & decides for whatever reason...abort it now. US states are setting their own rules & to date none ban abortion completely, some just have greater restrictions & criteria than others.
- Some politicians conflated it further to WA saying we need WA laws on abortion to be widely reformed. All politicians who've said this have been long time members of parliament, none have put forward a private members bill let alone pushed for a Parliamentary Review of the laws nor even spoken of it since joining parliament. Now, suddenly they do. They may well be 100% correct, its hard to say as none have pointed out what was lacking, wrong or in need to amendment to WA laws. We just got an unspecified sentiment. Just "the vibe" which coincidently came after one of the biggest news blasting matters in recent US history. Just as the WA Premier/Treasurer and other WALabor Ministers flew off to travel around the European Summer with some major political problems unfolding. Forgive me for being cynical, it just seemed like a huge opportunity to lodge a massive distraction in the WA News Cycle & some very silly MPs from the opposition fell for it & indeed helped steer the agenda away from WA's problems & the WA Labor Governments woes.
Sadly they are not proper Legislators with a deep keeness to find the fullest story to get the fuller facts & get the best outcome for WA Society. Some appear almost adverse & allegic to being extremely process & protocol oreinted. Not even WA oriented.
These people are not wise legislators, they're crafty political animals aka politicians. They are not at all helpful for WA or our collective future. Their only real contribution will be to retire from law making ASAP & forever more remain a cautionary tale to others considering time in the Legislature. They follow what is trending and sadly many that cause the trends are not the majority. Therein is the double flaw & the high danger to all in society.
Those politicians still have their Roe v Wade social media posts up, most with comments locked. Still complete with all the intellectual corruption. They're falling away on their feeds and will soon be buried. But they all have still haven't corrected their seriously absurd mispresentation of the matter. They still haven't a full explanation of what they support, why they support & what values they hold and used to get to where they are.
More importantly they have not said whether they oppose or support federalism here or the USA when their comments clearly appear to support the idea of a Federal Government being able to breach State Sovereignty & over rule any state laws. That alone causes the most serious concerns about their ability to be a legislator in WA.
Think they need to leave politics. They're dangerous politicians not forensically thorough legislators.

Roe vs Wade - As an Australian & Western Australian what you really need to know & remember
The Supreme Court of The United States (SCOTUS) made a ruling on 2 cases but the outcomes of these are being referred to as the "overturning of Roe v Wade".
Many people in the media or the political circles are telling you it was a ruling on Abortion.
It was not.
It was purely a ruling on the Constitutional validity of those legal matters jurisdiction, it was not pro nor anti abortion.
Now when you listen to the Media, read newspapers, social media content or comments from Australian politicians try to remember this.
When they start talking about Roe v Wade, about reproductive rights, women's rights, bodily autonomy, when life begins & all of these matters...
It was Constitutional Legal Ruling only. They purely ruled that it held no validity on Constitutional grounds therefore it is a State Matter governed by State laws, made by each state legislature who are elected by the individual state’s voters.
It removed the constitutionally illegal ability of their Federal Government to ignore State Sovereignty and commit over reach.
That’s it. That is the sum total of the Legal Ruling.
Hate to disappoint you or embarass others but that's the length, breadth & width of it all.
And yes I'm very cynical about anyone in Australia annexing the unconnected angst & aggression that this purely domestic matter of a foreign nation. Further a matter relevent to THEIR Constitutional only, not ours. I'll have to go to bold letters again...
HERE ARE THE ONLY PARALLELS FOR AUSTRALIANS TO CONSIDER APPLICABLE TO AUSTRALIA.
DO YOU SUPPORT AUSTRALIAN FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OVER RULING A LEGITIMATE STATE LAW OR DO YOU SUPPORT STATE SOVEREIGNTY ON LAWFUL STATE MATTERS?
That's it. That's the some total of everything that the SCOTUS ruling on Roe v Wade can be applied here. Nothing else, that is the lot.
By now you'll notice in regards the "Over Ruling of Roe v Wade" I’m not commenting on pro/con of Abortion, because it is not relevant to that ruling. Again, it was purely about those cases having Consitutional validity, purely on Constitutional grounds.
The misrepresentation of the legal judgement by so many on both sides in the media, on social media, by politicians even here in Australia is breath taking. Stunningly niave or worse, scarily deliberate. So far it's been detrimental to all involved & invokes emotional responses that have no connection to the legal basis of the actual ruling whatsoever
Over here in WA, surprise, surprise, the WALabor Government has spoken up on the matter.
They are either unaware of the facts, which makes them the 2nd worst possible people to be legislators. Or they are very aware and deliberately misrepresenting it for political gain making them the very worst people to be legislators.
Either way they appear to be happily annexing misplaced anger to distract people from the State of Emergency we're in whilst so many Labor Ministers are enjoying a European holiday. Distracts people from Ambulance ramping caused by a failed Hospital system. Great distraction as they sack the head of St Johns & its gets relegated downwards in the news cycle,
It was a play to steer the political agenda in WA, to distract people and it worked an absolute treat fooling many in the Media & the public. And helped by non Government MPs who are supposed to hold the Government to account.
Several WALabor ministers cranked up about the need to refresh Abortion Laws in WA. Funny...WALabor Govn has been in power since March 2017 and has done zero to consider Abortion Law in WA. They did however pass Electoral Reform Law virtually overnight, laws that were not able to be used for 4 years. Reforms that arguably will help WALabor re-election prospects by delivering a City centric gerrymander. But the Abortion Issue now, out of the blue, suddenly this is a key issue?
POLITICAL.
I was stunned to see not only the media but also some opposition MPs get in on the act & join the chorus singing from the WALabor hymn sheet. Foolishly ride the burning wagon of Bulldust like they're a noble particiapant in standing up for injustice.
Labor & others point to the SCOTUS ruling without mentioning if they support or oppose its key legal basis…can & should a Federal Government be able to ignore state sovereignty & over rule laws of the states that are matters of the state.
Instead..."Shhhh...look over there, is that a squirrel riding a pair of water skis, quick look over there"
Like it or not, the SCOTUS has legally ruled that the US Federal Government cannot over rule their individual state’s laws on state matters.
They not only control both Houses of Parliament, they now seem to easily control the political agenda AND also it seem some of their political opponents as well. Yes some opposition are rightly silent, whilst others are rounded up nicely.
It means less than the shadow of a small hill of bean but I fully support the SCOTUS ruling to prevent unconstitutional over reach of a Federal Government upon valid state laws. Fact that it’s Abortion is irrelevant...
Salient wider comments seen since have included...
- Constitutional Law Ruling over in a foreign country...it has nothing to do with Australia
- Loud screeching people claim its an attack on Bodily Autonomy & yet many were the same people supporting vaccination mandates
- Those that missed it was purely a legal ruling & decided to focus solely on Abortion & how it was a matter of women's rights, was healthcare, was a form of contraception, etc never actually pointed out at what point "LIFE" begins and/or at what point human rights begin.
- Some, like the very well known young journalist lady, saying those without a uterus should shut up. She said that on radio & it is at completely odds with the idea of free speech & equal free speech for all.
- There's a dozen more but the oddest one of all was that stopping a federal government illegally/unconstitutionally imposing its will on state matters & returning that state matter, to the respective states, to be decided upon in democratically elected state Legislatures, elected by the voters who live & a registered to vote in that state was somehow an attack on democracy. I mean that was a lie. Not just a bit, but as fully as a big fat lump of stinky faslehood can get.
But then, if you're willing to ignore those rulings were nothing more that legal rulings on Constitutional Validity, preventing illegal Federal over reach & walking over State Sovereignty then I don't think you should be a law maker in a legislature anywhere, federal, state or local. You are manfiestly untrustworthy, thoroughly incompetent or happily both whilst lying.
Back to Western Australia, when we're looking at the intellectually bankrupt virtue signalling, what are the reasons the Government ministers & MPs are pushing the Political Distraction & why are non Government MPs so eagerly being co-enablers of the lie & the distraction. I suspect both think all the public are idiots & all the public embrace virtue signals so best to get on the Bulldust Express.
** Now...Just Watch - The radical left & the radically deranged (some of which maybe both) will go totally feral online. TikTok will explode with fools angrily yelling nonsense that isn't relevent. Nearly all the wild claims will be proven to be false & misleading but accepted by nearly all not going deeper & asking questions.
The issue will die down within weeks & the Political Shape Shifting Theatre Props & Assorted Grifters in Australia will never fully expand on wrong claims they made, especially the profoundly vague claims...it will be too embarassing. It will largely turn into quick news cycle sugar hit by those Australia MPs who made a complete clot of themselves, showing themselves their role in Parliament House should be restricted to gardening or catering
AND NONE, AND I MEAN NONE OF THESE VIRTUE SIGNALLERS WILL KNOW NOR EXPLAIN THE 10th AMENDMENT TO THE US CONSITITUTION...NONE **
The Tenth Amendment (Amendment X) to the United States Constitution, a part of the Bill of Rights, was ratified on December 15, 1791.
It expresses the principle of federalism, also known as states' rights, by stating that the federal government has only those powers delegated to it by the Constitution, and that all other powers not forbidden to the states by the Constitution are reserved to each state.

How To Control A Press Conference & Manage The Optic Completely
- Announce a press conference at a set time.
- Ensure the Press Conference venue is a little on the small side or at least make sure the reporters area is a little tight & the podium area is large, roomy and if possible slightly elevated with a good distance between the entry/exit door. Gives the impression of a stately aloof entry & elevated has you speaking down to reporters.
- Arrive late everytime. Gets people used to being your bitch & they adapt to thinking you're busy & they're blessed with your presence. NEVER ARRIVE ON TIME
- Deliver your speech, read it word for word. For emphasis do not look down the barrel of any camera, just repeat 4 or 5 words of gravity a second time.
- Limit the time for questions & don't be afraid to pull in another speaker on lesser topics, safer topics to soak up time & get yourself closer to exit time.
- Point to your first reporter asking the question but ensure you allow enough time for them to beginning jostling to heighten the feeling of urgency & limited time
- Take the question, if uncomfortable remember to give facial sues that indicate contempt & disbief to put the reporter back on the heels a little.
- Don't answer in any way that concedes ground, you have many techniques of Tactical Replies to be used in lieu of actual answers to questions. Previous government, opposition,
- Over all be quick & short with answers. You are not doing an interview, you're delivering your brand, your presence & you're controlling reporters.
- Short answers can avoid detail but you must be ready to turn & point to another reporter quickly to dispense with the question you're dealing with. Most will swallow the urgency & will be eager to step in with a question as soon as you've quickly disposed of one. No reporter will repeat the previous question of hit you for a expansion on the previous question. Play the room, control the room.
- NEVER do a sit down interview for the newspaper or on live TV or News with one announcer, you are at their mercy. If you do because you're calle dout for no itnerviews go with 3-5 minutes and only over the phone & only on early morning radio and only on Monday or Tueday. Not enough has broken, you can choose the topic & accept. Blame busy schedule for short allocated
- Where possible request questions in advance, if you get called out either secretly black ban the journo and/or blame a staff member who was only assessing the amount of time required.
- Be seen whereever possible with media moguls. This will cause the more inexperienced reporters to be on the back foot. Experienced reporters will attend Press Conferences, control closely their abilitiy to ask questions, they will be your Kryptonite.
- Use Parliament & social media to push your brand unfettered. Release many press releases, if possible more than any other Premier/politician with as many as possible pointing out funding gains.
- Control them or they will unmask you. If you train the younger ones & ignore the experienced ones you will control them more often.
- Where you do get dealt a blow, bounce back to a new announcement that looks positive.
- Negatve announcements, pre-leak parts of it to soften the blow to get more of the public to ignore it. Announce it officially where possibly on Friday if its negative. Sport is about to flood the air, negative issues will be starved & drowned out.
